In this wooden sculpture, Giorgio Conta constructs the human figure through an assembly of geometric elements that interact with each other like pieces of a single living structure. The smooth, silent face emerges clearly from the complexity of the body, creating a strong contrast between harmony and material tension.

The surface, marked by engraved wooden blocks oriented in different directions, recalls the rhythms of nature and the stratifications of time. The figure does not appear fragmented, but constructed, like an organism that takes shape through the balance of its parts.

The work reflects Conta's research into the condition of contemporary man: a presence that is both solid and vulnerable, finding its unity precisely in the multiplicity that composes it.
