Inspired by the technique of kintsugi, which honours the aesthetic and spiritual value of imperfection and the process of repair, Ramona explores the philosophy of wabi-sabi, which appreciates the beauty of impermanence, imperfection and incompleteness. In her paintings, the cracks, imperfections and scars that life leaves on each of us are celebrated as part of our history and a source of strength and beauty. His works are in private collections worldwide and exhibited in prestigious galleries in Romania, Spain, Italy, Argentina and the United States. Her growing international recognition was demonstrated by winning fourth place in the Lorenzo il Magnifico at the International Biennale of Contemporary Art and Design in Florence in 2023. Biography
Ramona Russu is a Romanian painter who graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels and moved to Corsica in 2014 to pursue her creative path. Her artistic work explores the complexity of women's emotions and experiences, highlighting the idea of imperfect beauty through monochromatic works enriched with 24-carat gold leaf.
