Biography

Sabrina Ferrari was born in Verona in 1970, where she now lives and works. After graduating from art high school in 1989, she decided to continue studying art – she subsequently obtained a diploma in Sculpting from the Cignaroli Fine Arts Academy of Verona in 1993. Here she took part in a collective exposition for students’ works and won a prize for metal casting. Determined to pursue further education, she enrolled in the School of Marble sculpting at the Brenzoni Institute in Sant’Ambrogio di Valpolicella (Verona). Once her education was complete, she started working in a bronze art foundry, where she had the opportunity to collaborate with acclaimed Italian and foreign artists. Meanwhile, she taught Plastic arts at Verona’s art high-school. From 2003 to 2006 she was assistant to sculptor Isaac Kahn in his Verona studio. Her international career has been steadily growing since 2010, and she is currently considered as one of the most popular sculptors of the European contemporary art market.
