Antoine Gaussin's photographs are open windows onto suspended worlds, where silence and light merge into compositions of extraordinary purity. After studying journalism and photography in Brussels, Gaussin travelled extensively in sub-Saharan Africa and Mongolia, experiences that have profoundly influenced his artistic vision.

Using innovative techniques, the artist captures natural and urban landscapes from unprecedented perspectives, transforming them into works that oscillate between abstraction and reality. His images, often in black and white, evoke feelings of visual solitude and serenity, inviting the viewer on an inner journey.

Gaussin breaks free from the factual dimension of modern photography, creating works that stimulate the imagination and offer a new perception of space and time. Each shot is an invitation to explore the beauty hidden in the details and geometries of the world around us.

Biography

After studying journalism and photography in Brussels, Antoine Gaussin worked on various photographic assignments in Africa and Asia, while pursuing a career as a studio photographer. Gradually, he focused more exclusively on photography and began to forge his own visual and graphic identity. His work is essentially influenced by his past travels and the poetic dimension of the deserts he has come into contact with. Through his photographs he tries to evoke rather than represent the subjects he faces. His work is somewhere between photography and charcoal. Freeing himself from the factual and hyper-detailed dimension of modern photography, he produces works in which the viewer's imagination can fully unfold. An invitation to travel, sustained by the timeless poetry of black and white.
