Biography

Alessandra Zini (Reggio Emilia, 1966) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna under the guidance of master engraver, set designer and painter Luciano De Vita.

Throughout her career, she has been a finalist for the Premio Arte Giorgio Mondadori and has exhibited in major galleries and international art fairs in New York, Barcelona, Brussels and Paris. Her work has also been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Italy.

Her artistic research revolves around the theme of shadow, from which figures emerge in a constant state of transformation. Through the dialogue between black and white, with rare touches of Prussian blue, Zini creates intense and evocative works that explore identity, memory and emotion.
