In Humana – Vide Adhuc, Lamberto Melina continues his exploration of the female figure as a bearer of mystery and truth. The woman portrayed, wearing a wraparound turban and gazing sideways, holds a small golden apple between her fingers, from which a subtle spark emanates. The work suggests an allegory of knowledge and desire, but also of the risk that accompanies every form of revelation. The luminous realism of the skin and fabrics combines with an iconography suspended between myth and contemporaneity, creating an image of intense symbolic tranquillity.
