A large group of brightly coloured parrots fills the canvas, scattered amongst stylised branches and leaves that stretch across the pink background. Green, yellow, red, orange, blue and purple alternate in the birds’ plumage, creating a succession of ever-changing colour combinations. Small flowers and circular shapes are interspersed amongst the birds and the vegetation. The warm background and the free arrangement of the subjects lend the whole a playful and decorative atmosphere, whilst the artist’s brushwork retains the spontaneity and freshness of the execution.
