The aerial perspective opens out onto a vast expanse of water dominated by intense shades of blue and turquoise. At the top edge, a stretch of coastline emerges, dotted with small features and faint lines that seem to follow the island’s outline. A few boats break up the vastness of the surface, whilst on the right the vegetation marks the boundary between land and sea. The view thus conveys a sense of freedom and lightness, as if the sea could continue beyond the edges of the canvas.
