24_Meditation 1107

Je Shen depicts a tree in full bloom, set against a delicate backdrop dominated by shades of pink, fuchsia and lilac. The lush foliage seems to extend beyond the edges of the canvas, transforming into an explosion of light and matter. Beneath the branches, two small figures meet in an almost suspended landscape, whilst the petals drifting through the air accentuate the sense of movement. The work conveys a sense of harmony, contemplation and intimacy, inviting the viewer to lose themselves in the density of the blossoms.
