In *Humana – Corbus*, the raven is interpreted as a complex and transformative symbol, far removed from a negative view of evil.

Found in many cultures as an ambivalent figure, the raven primarily represents transformation, healing and the expansion of consciousness: from Native American traditions to alchemy (Nigredo) and shamanism, it is associated with transitions between worlds and inner rebirth.

In the artwork, the raven is perched on the figure’s chest – over the heart – as a force that triggers inner change, whilst the left hand evokes the feminine principle, understood as a profound, intuitive and transformative energy.

A symbol that invites us to embrace our own shadows in order to evolve and gain a more authentic understanding of ourselves.
