In this composition, the delicate face emerges like a silent apparition, veiled in pastel tones that soften its contours. All around, drips and swathes of vivid colour create a textured interplay rich in energy: yellows, blues, purples and reds blend into surfaces that are by turns glossy and matt, typical of the water-based enamel and turpentine technique. The patches seem to follow an internal rhythm, a secret movement that converses with the stillness of the figure. The work as a whole exudes a sense of balance and transformation, in which the gentleness of the face contrasts with and complements the burst of colour that surrounds it.
