In Le ballerine del Lido, Paolo da San Lorenzo translates movement and lightness of gesture into a solid, rhythmic formal construction. The female figures, stylised and fragmented according to a post-Cubist grammar, are arranged in space as if in a dance suspended between balance and tension. The vibrant, luminous colour interacts with the engraved mark, creating an energetic and harmonious composition, where the body becomes rhythm, architecture and visual poetry.
