In this evocative frontal portrait of a woman, a face emerges delicately from the white of the canvas before coming to life through intense colours. Her closed eyes evoke an intimate atmosphere, whilst the overlapping colours traverse her face like invisible thoughts, sensations and deep connections. The boundary between figuration and abstraction dissolves, giving way to an image suspended between reality and perception.
