Aria Dura New York 472 is a vibrant vision of Manhattan in which Pietro Dente transforms the New York skyline into an interplay of architecture, color, and movement. The Empire State Building emerges at the center of the composition, surrounded by a dense and luminous cityscape crossed by bridges, traffic, and urban geometries.

The work originates from the original technique developed by the artist for the Aria dura per la finzione di uno scorcio urbano series: a canvas painted with layered and scratched acrylics is superimposed onto a transparent polycarbonate panel, on which Dente constructs architectural details using raised paint. The two layers merge into a single image, creating depth, reflections, and an almost three-dimensional perception.
