Andrea Giovannini directs our gaze across a stretch of sea dominated by shades of azure, sky blue and blue, traversed by subtle variations in light. Along the edges, strips of coastline and vegetation emerge, whilst a few small boats and an aeroplane mark the vastness of the space. The surface of the water appears ever-changing, with some areas more transparent and others with an almost material texture. The aerial perspective offers an unobstructed and luminous view of the sea, where the few recognisable elements take on particular prominence.
