This large mixed media painting on wood by Enrico Pazzoni depicts the face of a woman in profile. Initially the feeling is that of being in front of a print, a photograph, perhaps a comic book. As one approaches the painting, however, the comfort disappears, leaving room for disorientation, forlornness, bordering on the hypnotic. The woman's head is not complete and the top is occupied by the skyline of a large city. Lines upon lines, contrasting sharply with each other through the use of heavy, saturated paints create a table from which it is impossible to look away.
