Among the favourite subjects of Beth Richardson's work are ordinary, everyday objects, whose human characteristics the British artist explores through a very particular pictorial composition and the use of flat, solid colour fields. In this work of great fomato the viewer can admire, from an almost "aerial" perspective, two bright yellow chairs - the representation of a couple - under a splendid magnolia tree. A scene of great elegance and poetry.
