In this large-scale work, Alessandra Perini creates a fundamental portrait, forming the figure through the arrangement of fabrics and stitching. The stitching becomes a graphic sign and structure, while the fabrics, selected for their texture and luminosity, shape the image as colour would in painting. The artist's background in fashion design is evident here: the fabric is not merely a support, but a narrative substance capable of translating sensitivity and identity into visual form.
