Sunset is, by definition, the moment in the day that precedes dusk. A fleeting moment that connects the realm of reality and that of the possible. We are not too surprised to see small habituations floating towards the centre of the painting as if they were people or animals at the end of a migration. A landscape that, with its severe and rational features, silently yields to the allure of the possible and the unreal. After sunset, anything can happen.
