The work speaks of two. It is a work that speaks of detachment and the need for reunion. Those who are therefore drawn to this work are on the way to rediscovering a balance that has been dissolved in the past. In fact two is created by the sum of two units (1+1), similar but distinct, This polarity, this tension of opposites, is the basis for creation: the encounter with the other, the you and I, but also the perception that within us there is a clear separation between our identities, the rational (left brain) and the emotional (right brain). A duality necessary to our personality that generates who we are. The balance between these two entities creates the best of us, indeed it generates the ‘third’. In fact, if in mathematics 1+1=2 in the spiritual world one + one equals 3 because the harmonic union of the two parts generates a new unity, stronger than the simple union of the two, more capable, more powerful.
In the work, the repeated presence of two particles (two spheres, two cords, two thorns) signifies the journey necessary to become more than what we think we are, by uniting our two powers.
