This medium-sized work by master artist Lamberto Melina explores the theme of power, understood as the influence of symbolism and archetypes on our daily lives. Shapes, geometries and myths condition the way we perceive and experience the world, often without us being aware of it. The volute headdress represents the prevailing rationality, which leads us to believe that everything stems from the past, while the two small snakes symbolise the rebellion needed to understand that it is the future, with its ends, that shapes who we are.
In the centre of the chest, the pentacle, positioned on the heart chakra, recalls the power to harmonise the elements, amplify human capacities and guide towards a more balanced and conscious existence. The feather, on the other hand, suggests two approaches to change: one rapid and drastic, but temporary, and one slow and gradual, capable of generating deep and lasting transformations.
The work thus becomes a symbolic guide, inviting the viewer to reflect on his or her own path and the importance of consciously using the power of symbolism to shape one's life and achieve one's goals.
