In quest’olio su tela di medie dimensioni, un bambino è in spiaggia e raccoglie delle conchiglie un po’ speciali. Le “conchiglie” sono delle piccole stelle,che la mamma lo sta aiutando a raccogliere. A fare loro da sfondo un mare di un intenso azzurro che sembra confondersi con il cielo. L’opera si fa correlativo oggettivo della meraviglia e dello stupore tipici dell’infanzia, dove anche una semplice conchiglia può essere vista come un tesoro prezioso.
