A protagonist made seductive by a long black dress and large, bistral eyes, clasps an arm around herself as if to protect herself. The scene is uneasy, adding to this sense of confusion are splashes of orange and bright red. The gaze is downcast, the woman portrayed is gently melancholic and infuses the viewer with the same persuasive feeling. Fabio Calvetti chooses to depict a penumbra scene, in which the seductive character of the female figure portrayed can emerge even more strongly.
