Paolo da San Lorenzo, a student of Pablo Picasso, assimilated the master's lessons, reworking them into a personal language. From Picasso's influence, particularly the Cubist period, Paolo inherits the decomposition of forms and fragmentation of space, elements he uses to explore the interaction between figure and environment.

However, he distances himself from the master's more structural approach, preferring a more fluid and lyrical interpretation. His works are characterized by an evocative use of color and compositions that often evoke a sense of lightness and introspection, mixing Cubist formal rigor with a more intimate and contemplative poetics.
