Luca Gastaldo

Painting works

In Luca Gastaldo's works, the undisputed protagonist is the sky. Through its streaks and gashes, this element speaks to us of a world composed of light, shadows and transparencies capable of creating atmospheres charged with meaning and emotion. Thanks to the use of very different techniques (bitumen, oil paints, rags, brushes, chalks...), Luca Gastaldo's authentically romantic painting transports us to a celestial stage where the elements and sensations of our daily life intertwine, creating a vortex of unique emotions.

Luca Gastaldo was born in Milan in 1983. He graduated in painting from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts and has been exhibiting in solo and group shows throughout Italy and abroad since 2006, including La casa di questa mia sera (2008) and La luce e il buio at the Galleria Bianca Maria Rizzi in Milan, Tra suggestioni romantiche e vibrazioni contemporanee at the European Parliament in Brussels (2010); La luce e il suo contrario at the Fondazione Bandera per l'arte in Busto Arsizio, Varese (2011) and the triple solo exhibition Lucenergia at the PUNTO SULL'ARTE Gallery in Varese (2012).
